Stories of chairs
| Stories of Chairs is a multimedia project which invites people to share ideas, stories and daydreams about the chair, this object we use every day of our lives, through images and words. This is an online space of participation, a museum of individual and collective heritages. The chair is a universal object and simultaneously a universe of stories. It's one of the first extensions of the human body, it's part of all our lives, everybody has a story to tell about a chair. Stories of Chairs is the place where all of those stories will meet, at storiesofchairs. It intends to participate in the reinvention and promotion of narratives about the chair and its industry, by sharing life stories and, most of all, by uniting the community (online and offline) through its creativity and participatory communication. Creative in content and contributory in purpose, simple in premise and diversified in participation. Draw, take pictures, tell life stories, yours and others', ask questions, sing, write, surprise! We all have something to tell. This way, all together, you may participate in the creation of the largest online archive about chairs in the world. The web's social networks will be a privileged vehicle for the promotion of this initiative. The selected projects will be presented during the international exhibit Art on Chairs.
