More Design. More Industry.
| In association with ID+ (Institute for Design, Media and Culture Research) and ESAD (Arts and Design School of Porto), the Paredes Furniture Design Centre attributes 9 grants for residences of Portuguese and foreign designers in the furniture companies of the Paredes region. The residences will have a duration of eight months and will be supervised by a tutor/senior designer. The objective of More Design. More Industry is to foster design's creativity and innovation for the companies of the sector and to increase the skills and knowledge about productive realities, associated to the furniture industry, among resident designers. During the residencies a documentary will be produced, which will be played during the international exhibition Art on Chairs, and the work produced during that period will be exhibited. The contest will remain open until December 10th 2011 and the residences will take place between January 5th 2012 and August 5th 2012.
